City of San Aurie · Est. 1781
Recruiting patrol officers across all four tactical elements. No experience required — full training at the Academy.
Career Progression
Every officer starts at Officer I. Advancement runs on command points and time in grade — the same ladder for every recruit.
Detective is a lateral specialization off Officer III — it caps at Detective III and runs alongside, not toward, Chief of Police.
First through the door when a call turns from patrol to standoff. Entry procedure, less-lethal options, hostage scenarios.
Overwatch and pursuit coordination from above. Keeps ground units oriented when a situation stretches across the city.
Interdiction, highway patrol, PIT-certified vehicle tactics. If it's rolling and it shouldn't be, Ram brings it to a stop.
Surveillance and casework that doesn't start with a 911 call. Quiet, patient, and rarely in uniform.
The Process
Five steps from application to sworn officer. Most recruits hear back within a few days.

Before Your First Shift
Every recruit passes through the same Academy coursework — no exceptions for rank or connections.

You can note a preference on your application, but element assignment happens after probation, based on department need and certification.
Regular patrol shifts, adherence to use-of-force policy, and ongoing training. Advancement is tracked openly — every officer can see the same rank ladder.
You're welcome to reapply. Command staff will typically let you know what to work on first.
A just-for-fun sorter. Real element assignment happens after probation, based on department need and certification — this won't affect your application.
